Rev. Robert J. Hoem has been serving as our Priest in Charge and interim pastor since November 2019. His main focus has been to assist our congregation through the process of transitioning to the leadership of a new rector. Father Bob, as he prefers to be called, has been pastoring Lutheran congregations since 1978 having graduated from Luther Theological Seminary, St. Paul, MN. In addition to regular parish and interim ministry, he served twenty years as a Chaplain in the U.S. Naval Reserve. Significantly, Father Bob has fostered a long and enriching relationship with the Episcopal Church. He has served as a church musician in three Episcopal churches during and following his graduation from the University of Washington in 1967. His love for Christ and the rich liturgical tradition of the Episcopal Church enable him to be a “good fit” during this interim period. A resident of Ocean Shores, Fr. Bob is married to his wife, Kay. Together they have three adult children, five grandchildren, and one great grandson.
